Mobo has unleashed two of its compact laptops for the Brazilian public. With a USP of “Low Cost” Mobo enters the Brazilian markets with its Positivo Mobo and Mobo Kids laptops.
The Positivo Mobo which seems like a twin model of Airis’ Kira 740 Eee PC packs in 2GB of flash memory, 512MB RAM, 1.3-megapixel webcam, Wi-Fi for internet access and a card reader that reads the memory cards. The notebook shows a 7-inch display in its compact form with a Via C7-M processor. The laptop features an input/output for headphone and microphone teamed with built-in stereo speakers and a lithium battery that provides an approximate 4 hours usage. Even the technical specifications of the Positivo laptop come very close to the Airis’ Kira 740.
Whereas the Mobo Kids notebook boasts about its Celeron M processor of 900 MHz and is expected to include the same features as the CTL’s 2go PC which are 40GB Seagate hard drive, a sturdy plastic case, two integrated speakers, two USB ports, RJ-45 10/100 LAN ports and 4-cell Lithium Ion batteries which deliver 3-4 hours of usage.
The Mobo laptops seem to be clones of other notebooks and will present themselves in Brazil at affordable prices ranging from $590 to $999. The Positivo Mobo will arrive first by hitting the stores on 23rd May and the Mobo Kids will be stacked on to stores a little late by July this year.
